Skipper, Geop here. Profile indicates you're in Green Valley. Hope this is true because I live in Flagstaff ... on the #1 green at Continental. If true, we have to play some golf somewhere.
Thanks Skipper! She was my baby for sure. And she was always up it seemed. I miss her, and her times, a great deal. Thank you for the reconnect. Take care, lets stay in touch. V/R Sam
When I was an E-4 and stationed at the US Naval Academy, I was standing on the fantail of a YP when a young midshipman by the name of Michael John Madden gave me a salute and requested permission to come on board! I have known you for a long time old friend! Hope Diane and the family are all healthy and doing well!
Hello Skipper ! Enjoying life down here on the Gulfcoast. Don't know if you remember me or not but I was in the Avionics shop from 73/77 under Chief Pruitt. Just touching base with my fellow Hooters. Hope all is well with you and yours. HHMF
Skipper: Great to see you on RECCENET. I joint RVAH Navy about two years ago but am just now joint the RECCE Net communty.
Since I last saw you in the summer of 1978, I completed three tours in S-3s, went to War College, commanded VS-30, and then went through Nuc Pwr. Served as XO on IKE, commanded USS SYLVANIA (AFS-2). Then when we decommissioned Sylvania I retired. I had been seleced to command IKE but it was for a three year yard tour and I said no. After I retired I went to work at US Joint Forces Command and rose through the GS ranks and in 2005 was picked up as a SES. This past year we have spent nine months disestablishing JFCOM and next moth we transfer to Joint Staff - I am getting too old for this much fun.
I am still married to Noreen we have three grown sons and two grand kids, so far. We live in Va Beach and life is still fun. I hope to hear from you when you get the chance. VR/ Tim
