  Hi - The restaurant was at Disney World Saratoga Springs.  We were celebrating our anniversary.  I was in RVAH-5 from April 1965 to August 1967 as a DK-3.  I spent a lot of time with Dennis Hoel, Jack Johnson, Ray Witt and others.

  You should come back to South Padre Is.for another try. It is far more entertaining (the ladies are even more attractive and bountiful.

  Commercial- I even have an efficiency condo near all the entertainment and 50 yards from the beach..

  I have been here for 40 years 20 retired and 20 with U.S. Customs

  At the moment all is well.

  We have spent the last two Septembers here in Palma staying in a villa.  September is a nice time of year to be hear.  It is at the end of the European busy season.  The ladies who pays all the bills decided to stay in Malaga this September.  We spent a lot of time in T-Town (Torremolinos) when I was deployed to NAS Rota in 17 and then in 72-73.  I was part of the RVAH-9 group that set up the avionics mobile maintenance facility there in 71.

   

  Barcelona was my first international liberty port on my first cruise in 1970.  I joined the squadron three days before it left on the Saratoga.  It was quite the educational experience in dealing with a lot of characters who were not always your friends.  We will be here for a few days before we go down to Ibiza for a few days.  Then we will head back to Palma to fly home.  The yacht's captain is and English guy who live in Palma.

  I am here in Palma on Mallorca with my kids and ladies on our annual luxury yacht cruise.  We charter the yacht and it is a big boy about 321 foot.  I have known the Captain for a number of years.  He was the Captain for a while on a yacht owned by my old boss who had his toys.

   

  I got off the yacht to move money and pay bills online today.  The Daughters rule is to stay off the computer while I am with them.  They are all doctors now so I follow the doctors orders most of the time.

   

  We were in Cannes for the Cannes Film Festival and in Monaco for the Grand Prix race this past weekend.

   

  To answer your questions about Edwards AFB.  It is about 50 miles NE of Palmdale.  We are out in the High Desert and the base is out there by itself.  Palmdale still has a large defense contractor presence.  A lot of the R&D is still done here.  To expensive in California to build the planes etc.

  I actually lived just east of Plano Rd and south of Beltline in Richardson from 75 til 80 on Trailridge Dr.
