HI George , A happy birthday to you [tomorrow ] ! How is Sachse treating you ? We used to live in Richardson on the east side of 75 , north of Beltline/ Main street ! Left in 03 !
I put your address in my address book. Mine is song@wisperhome.com. It might change but should be ok for now. Do you still have a Cruise book from the 69/70 Ranger? If you do, I'm on page # 262 with the Rriggers and AMEs. I'm pretty sure that's you on page # 231. Do you remember the guy who jumped off the fantail one night in his skivies? Never did find him.
I'm retired living in a small town about 20 miles east of St Louis. I thought you were the person that shared the room with me. I was in contact with Ron Clark for a while a couple years ago but lost track of him somehow. He was in Penn. somewhere. I joined Recce5 in Mar 69, made the cruise in Ranger, and as soon as the ship docked at Alemeda on June 1, 70, I got out of the Navy. So you and Ron were roommates before Ranger. After awhile I went back in the USNR, got out again, then went in the Army reserve for 4 years, got out, went back to Navy reserve again, and retired with 23 years total service. The reserve retirement money isn't much but with my civilian retirement I live comfortably. I don't find to many people that I served with when I was in the active navy so I hope to hear from you again.
Hello,
I was wondering when you were in Recce5? When I first arrived at NAS Albany in Mar 69 I was assigned a room with two others. I think one was named Clark and you may have been the other. The name sounds familier. After a few months, Clark and you ( if it was you) moved into town and I had the room all to myself. Did you have a neat blue Chevy Impala? Were you an AT or AE? I was a PR2 and worked at the hanger for awhile and then went to work at the parachute loft. After we deployed on Ranger I think you were assigned to AIMD (again if you are who I think you are). Let me know if I'm right or if I'm going crazy in my old age.

"Thanks Peter.
Sorry it took this long to respond. Which squadron were you in and what years?
I actually lived just east of Plano Rd and south of Beltline in Richardson from 75 til 80 on Trailridge Dr."
Retired huh? Lucky you. I'll probably be working until I die.
I stayed in the reserves for another 8 years and gave it up because of my other interests and such. So, now I'll retire wth only Social Security and the IRAs that I have built up.…"
"My roommate in Albany was Ron Clark. But, I was thinking that this may have been after the Ranger cruise. You're right though, old age makes it difficult to remember. I did have a 69 Dark Blue 2 door Chevy Impala. I did work in AMD all the time…"
