My dad lives in Mt Juliet , out by the lake on Benders Ferry. I see you were a second class , so was I (AO2). I bunked in the 1st/2nd class compartment just under the forward cats. Spent most of my time TAD to CAG as the chaff and flare locker PO. I had a house boat on Center Hill till a few years ago , it was at Hidden Harbor. Small World. I left the ship right before Singapore. Skipper reenlisted me in flight at the PI. I left for the VP Navy for a while then to A7's. Nice talking with you. Jim
Rick, Good to hear from a fellow bat. I spent most of my time on the flight deck at night. Worked with Johnny Duncan and Pat Summers but I don't know where they are and haven't hear from either in many many years. I was the QA for the power plants shop among other things ha. I remember you but only vaguely since I never got to your shop that I can recall. Stay in touch.
