  • Hi John, Good to hear from you and that you are "still kicking". I too am in good health.I recently reconnected with Ray Bailey, Bob Brem, Jim Anderson, and Michael Dellio through Facebook, I was also connected with Charlie until he passed. Ron Fritz and I connected through this site. I have maintained contact with Carl Mason since leaving the Navy as some of his wife's family live in North Carolina. We also keep in touch now through Facebook. Your name came up through posting some pictures and the guys were wondering how to make contact. I will let them know that I made contact. They would love to hear from you. As soon as I learn how to post pictures on this site I will send you a copy of the photo Ray posted. Tom Flowers

  • Hi John, Sorry to take so long to reply.  Right after my earlier comment, I remembered who you are and how I remembered you.  Hey I'm 71, senior moments occur regularly..  My email is rondoefritz@att.net and feel free to get in touch.  I'll share all those I've connected with and some memories...  I also have some photos I'll share with you.

Thanks for the reply and look forward to hearing from you..

    Ron

  • Hi John, I was an AT1 in H-14 from 1970 to 73.  I remember you but can't remember what your job was.  Great photos and I remember those events also...

  • Nice pics ,John !

  • Hello Johnny,

A case of mistaken identity I think.  I never got to the Island of Rhodes and no nothing about vapor locks.  I was an ATN3 in 14 in 1970 and until the Spring of 71 about a year.

  • Johnny,

    My names Phil Tucker          a.k.a.Stick

"Tom, I have photos of you and other squadron members, some of whom maybe you can help me put a name to.  I have been reluctant to post these (mostly shop photos) without the permission of the guys in them.  If you have an e-mail address I would…"

John Loren Brammer left a comment for Ron Fritz
"Hello Ron, after all these years.  Hope you are in good health.
I was a Radio/Recon AT3 and later AT2.  I joined RVAH-14 on 3Apr1970, made the 70-71 Med cruise and most of the 71-72, leaving the squadron, ship, and Navy in May of 72.  On JFK I…"

"Sorry, about the error:  wishful thinking and poor proofreading on my part.  Charles was the consummate sailor, not me."

John Loren Brammer replied to Steven R. Ewing's discussion Charles "Charlie" Huson Betts, formerly AT2 USN RVAH-14
"Thanks, Steve, for this post.
I read it with a little wince of pain, for one understands that a shipmate that has passed is an irreplaceable loss.
I had the privilege of serving with Charles in RVAH-14 during 1970-1972.  I was the consummate sailor…"

"Howdy, Tom.
I am glad to hear from you after all these years.  I hope you are in good health.  I am still kicking.  I just saw posted where, sadly, our shipmate Charles Betts had passed away in 2013.  This served to remind me that it is time to post…"

John Loren Brammer left a comment for Dave Weber
"Dave, about z92: I was hoping Terrill Saylor would recognize the photo and be the person that I was looking for, but he wasn't. Curiously, Terrill should have been working out of the same shop as me, and I don't remember the face. Odder yet, I think…"
