    I read it with a little wince of pain, for one understands that a shipmate that has passed is an irreplaceable loss.

    I had the privilege of serving with Charles in RVAH-14 during 1970-1972.  I was the consummate sailor and technician.  He was a happy-go-lucky guy and a friend to all.  I cannot recall him ever directing a negative comment toward another sailor.  It was a pleasure to have called him my friend, and I salute him. . . Until that Last Final Flyover, Charles, RIP.
