Didn't make that trip. Stupid ma went to shore dity at Sanford. Didn't want to take the chance. Stupid, as I could have "homesteaded" at Sanford long before it was "invented".
Loved the pic of the tail guns on A3D, Very few left in 1961!
Thank you!! I'm a relative old timer. VAH (No R) 7 1960 - 1964 when the squadron left for the "round the world" cruise Knew most every AK on the base, Yours was AK1 Smith.

Thanks for the offer John. No, I did not attend the reunion. In fact I was not aware of it. I was a member of Heavy 9, IOIC crew, from late 62 to late 66.
Thanks for the welcome. Excited about the possibility of locating a few of my shipmates in RVAH-9.
