After boot camp in Chicago, training at Millington, TN, and training in RVAH-3, I was assigned to RVAH-14... 2 cruises on the Kennedy in the Med (I also reenlisted for "career designation" with a commitment to 8 years while in RVAH-14). I then went to shore duty at NAMTD Albany as an E6 AQ. I was ordered to RVAH-12 when the Navy closed NAS Albany and relocated to Key West FL (Boca Chica). I made one cruise on the Enterprise at the end of the VietNam War... the Enterprise was there at the time evacuations from the US Embassy were taking place as the war was ending. After the return from VietNam, I was in RVAH-12 until my discharge in April 1976.
