Hey Jay. I was in Heavy 7 when it decommissioned in Key West. I was an AT1 at the time. I transferred to Memphis for instructor duty. Missed the Viggie.
Yes Jay I remember you we worked together on night check onboard USS Ranger. I see you retired in Florida as well. Moved back to Winter Haven after retiring. Good to know some of the old guys are still around from the Heavy Days in the Navy.
My company was bought and sold countless times over the past 30 years
This time it made no sense for me to stay

When I left Key West I did not make it past Miami
Still in Florida but want to head out west in the next couple of years
However my retirement was forced via a merger about a year ago
And my wife was let go a few years earlier
And some of the kids have moved back home with their kids
It's like living in the barracks
