Read your intro. actually sounds like you could write a book about your life! I arrived in Sanford out of A school about the same time you did, but was attached to H-3. Agree with you...Sanford (Daytona) was a great place to be stationed. I worked nights in the ASB shop for my whole time in Sanford so I could spend the days in Daytona. Then the move to Albany...not so good Bet we were hanging out at some of the same bars...I think that is why I joined the Navy...to find the bars.. Not so good in fact that I could have stayed with H-3 for the rest of my 4 years, but requested a transfer to H-13 so I could do a Med cruise. Did half a cruse and time was up and returned with my wife to Detroit, who was a Detroit girl I had met in Daytona, and we have lived here ever since.
