Hi Mr. Baker. Nice to see you have joined the group. The next best thing to being able to shoot and recover one more time is to reconnect and remember.Like our trip to Sig, where my oldest son (a navy pilot) is currently stationed. Grandchildren! How wonderful.Welcome aboard, sir.
Good to hear from you. I'm glad that you liked the picture. Mads worked with Tom Brem and me for about 4 months before we got the final product. I did want to share it with the Recce community in case others would like to get one done. My contact was Jerry Highberger at USMilitaryArt.com.
Welcome aboard Mr. Baker! I served with you when I was in h-9 from 73-77 as a Photo Interpreter/Intelligence Specialist. I'm pretty impressed with your service record after 9! Always good to see some names I recognize.
It was wonderful to get your message, yesterday, although finding out that you and Noreen were grandparents put a huge dent in my being able to convince myself that none of us has really gotten older!
I still think of the time you two came to see us, in Hawaii, and I kept addressing you by names other than "Tim." To this day, I have no explanation (I knew your name as well as my own), but you surely must have thought I was losing it. Nowadays, my friends would probably not even notice my doing it!
"Gerry: Great to hear from you! Noreen and I are doing great. We are living in Va Beach very close to our three son’s and their families. Please let me know how you and the family have been doing since our RVAH-9 days. Also, Rob Weber lives about a…"
"Dean: Great to hear form you and thank you for your very kind note. I am very happy that I found the RECCENET portal since my days with the Hoot Owls were some of my best memories of my years in the Navy. Hope to get to see you in person soon. Tim"
"Rich: Thank you for sharing the final version of Mads' work for you and Tom. I had been wanting to get a piece of Vigi art for years but until I saw yours I had not really be moved into action. The detail and accuracy in Mads work, to include the…"
"Sam: Great to hear from you and to hear that your son followed in Dad's foot steps in the Navy, and especially Naval Aviation. I will stay in touch and hope to see you, and meet your family, soon. R/ Tim"
