This is Bob (Andy) Andrus and I have been doing well. Yes I remember you and Larry. I also remember Klinger (he was rebuilding a Corvette when we were in Albany GA) I have been in touch with several guys from Heavy 6. Randy Thompson AT2 worked in the IOIC repairing the onboard computers, Ed Stoveken ADJ2 in the engine shop, (Thye both live in Sanford. On Facebok I keep in touch with Gary Naquin ADJ2 in the line shack (he was my best man in 1969 when I married my wife of 50 years), and I just heard from Mike Bamonte AK in supply and unfortunately I heard today that Wayne Curry AME1 passed away today. My email is bob_andrus@verizon.net. Send me a note since it is easier to communicate via email.
Robert, used to live in Royal Oak...wanted an easier town name...settled for Kalamazoo! Actually I knew quite a few guys in nine from Michigan, don't remember all of their names though. Most if not all of them are still here in the state, but Billy Root is the only one I have a real handle on, and he is in Saginaw still, retired from GM a few years ago.. Bob Kievit, Bob Lassanen, and Weinhoff were from the UP. Donnie Young was from the Adrian area if I remember rightly. As to remembering or firstly even knowing about an A5...you're right. The only public mention I have ever seen was on a JAG episode. Who says fiction is stranger than truth...or something like that. But as a PH, I have a fair number of photo's on the wall. Strange, the adults don't say much, but the kids in the neighborhood are real interested. That or they think the old man is just plane crazy! Took the family down to the bird on display in Memphis (156608). She was with Heavy 9 when I was discharged, so it was something of a thrill for me. Last time I had been with her was Oct 30, 1972, and then again on the 15th same month 2006. My daughter had always heard about the plane, and they let us up close and personal as it were. Great times that I rememebr fondly. Wouldn't do it again, but wouldn't take a million to forget either!!! HHMF!

Welcome aboard, SiskaBOB. Great to have another Michigander in the group. Go Tigers!
Don't work with the squadrons anymore, but I will forward this to Steve Ewing who handles the roster now.
