One of these pictures you have on here is the one that my brother piloted... LtCmdr Carl Morris (Sonny) Sledge. This plane went down off the coast of Miami on 12/7/67. I was wondering if you were on this carrier with him, if you may have known him?
Any of our family that may know anything has unfortunately passed, I have been doing research on my own to find any information about my brother and his death, that I can find.
Guess I haven't looked at this for a while since your comment was in 2010! I do remember you. Didn't you beat your car up and invite others to help smash it on the beach in Daytona? I don't recall Smitty. I hung quite a bit with Harry Allen, Joe Goedde, Mark Fisher, John Gllihan. Most weekends would find us in Daytona. There was a group of 4 girls, X-ray techs, that shared an apartment and let us crash there. We kind of shared them also, on a first come-first served basis. Crazy times! I ended up back in Florida and have been in Clearwater since 1981. Hope this finds you happy and well...Gene
