Yep Pete, that would be me. I've often wondered what happened to you. Weren't you originally from the Camden, NJ area? All those years I knew you the name Harvey never came up. How come?
Fred MacLennan is also on here. Fred worked in the AQ line shop with me. He got out before the Med cruise on the America. Also, Russell Decatur. You may recall Russell was on the Ranger with us and had a nasty accident. Night on the flight deck, elevator was down, stanchions were down. Russell walked over the edge. Gives me the creeps just thinking about it.
Welcome aboard. I was in Heavy Nine from 1957 to 1960; made Strikeback in 1957, 2 Med cruises aboard the Saratoga and other deployments, including shakedown of the Ranger after she was commissioned.
Most people would know me by the name Pete Brestle. I was in RVAH-5 from 1963 to 1966 and was on the Ranger cruise and the America cruise. I was an A E. Would like to hear from anyone from that era. Have both cruise books as well.
"Russ, I don't know off I mentioned this to you before but the reason I asked for the date is because when the ship went into a turn because "man overboard" was called I happened to be in the shower and live steam came out of the shower head and…"
"Hi Russ, I have been in touch with Ed World and he told me he had talked to you recently. I hope you can make the reunion in Pcola. Could you tell me the date you got hurt? I would like to talk to you when possible also."
"Hello Del, I don't know if you remember me but we worked together on the 64-65 cruise on the Ranger. In fact we are in the same cruise book picture only I am the second from the left and your second from the right. Hope all has gone well for you.…"
"Hi Al, my email address is petedundee66@gmail.com. I received an email from you but it said no return. I did leave the information about the officers as I remembered it. You know me as Pete, not Harvey. My picture is in the cruise book for our…"

Hey Pete welcome aboard.
Nice to see a few of the squadron members from the FIVE.
Any thing interesting happen after I left the Navy in Dec. 64?
Would love to hear from you, I spent my five months mostly working in the hanger removing parts to keep the birds flying. How about your job?
