Gary,
If you want to converse by email I am at gary.wiggins@hotmail.com. I have already found two others that worked with me in the ASSC shop. I remember you and Lavarnway. I got out after my one hitch, went back to college and got my degree in EET. I have worked in electronics /communications my whole life. I was already married when in Heavy 12. Married for 12 years before we decided to have kids, wanted to get college out of the way and careers started strong. I have two married daughters and 5 grandkids. I am now retired and loving it. Living in the Atlanta area now and not planning on moving any time soon. Can hardly believe the wife and I have been married for 48 years. Drop me a line every once in awhile.

I remember you and Lavarnway when in Heavy 12 aboard the Forrestal in the Med. and the America on the Westpac. I ran the SLR and IR benches in the ASSC shop. Let me know how it's going
I got your name from Ron Lavarnway, and he asked if I remembered you from aboard the AMERICA on the WesPac Cruise in 1970. Seems we were all there at the same time. I still have the cruise book, so I will look up your photo. Can you tell me which unit you were in? I know it was R-12, but you were not a pod changer photo mate? :)

"Thanks for getting back to me Doug! I had way too many emails come back to me. Hope the one level home works for you. I have two friends from the VFW that have recently moved into single level homes for similar reasons. Best to you and Jan."
"I should look at RecceNet more often. I had to look at the cruise book to recognize you and I did. I am finding the golden years are not so golden. I kept on working on corporate jets for over 35 years. After I got out of the Navy, I found that I…"
"Got your message and photos. Good looking family. I had 3 daughters, with my youngest just getting married mid-September. Being a Grandpa is the greatest thing ever. The Naval Air Museum is awesome. The first RVAH-12 reunion was held there. At the…"
"Hi Ron, It has been a whole year since I have been back here. These sites such as Facebook are hard for us old guys to understand. I take way too many pills. I am sure all that clean living was a big part of it. Do you know what ever happened to…"
"Ron, Hope this gets to you this time. I have been trying to figure out this networking thing for a while. Anyway, yes I am the one on the America 1970 cruise. I was able to get together with Groenhof, Carlson, Doug More, John Flemming and Bill…"
