We were 3 AT's living about a block away from you guys. Bobby McKee, Joe and I. The only people I've heard from over the years are Roop Keifer, Jack Winnett and Bud Steil and recently Fred Lauderbaugh.
I know I am being a PITA with messages this morning, but you have a picture of someone sitting under the nose of an A5 on your photos. Do you know who it is, because it looks like me.
Papa Joe (Chief Somers) was like a father to everyone in the photoline dept. He is one of the people I am looking for. Do you remember a WO4 Husted. He might of been a LJG then. Did you hear about the guy that lost his leg in Albany on a motor cycle?.
I am new to this forum, but when I read your inquiry about CDR. Lauren Everett and LCDR Paul Stokes' bodies not being recovered I thought I would give you my memories. Wayne Newsom was the CO's plane captain, and I was on the photo line crew. I remember being told all they found was one helmet and a seat pan and no bodies.
"Hey Al, I remember you, Joe Weber, and another guy lived off base in Albany about the same time that Lagonegro, Cossey, and I did. Have you ever heard anything from Weber over the years?"
"Hey Buddy, welcome to the group, and thanks for your reply to my comment about the crash of Everett and Stokes. I have talked with several shipmates by email and facebook during the last two years about it. Joe Brandl, Bud Steils, and John Ciffone…"
"Hey Ron, welcome to RecceNet. Feel free to post jokes, comments, stories, or just read the ravings of a bunch of old sailors. It's a good group to be in!

"Sad to hear of this. They really knew how to harmonize and blend country music together with rock. I think they influenced many other artists, including the Beatles. I grew up listening to them in the 50's and 60's. We have lost a lot of music…"
