"There is going to be a Navy Blue Angel Air Show in Memphis on June 20, 2020. I wonder how many RVAH members we can get there to watch the show and then visit this bird rehab and thank James Jones' crew for a job well done!"

    The Millington-Memphis Airport Authority tells me that they have regrettably had to cancel this year's Mid South Airshow. :(

    Could not find a group of rooms seems Memphis and Millington are the go to places that weekend. But if you want to join Marvin Terhune and myself, we have rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn, Wolfchase. If they fill up there is a Hampton just a couple miles away! We will be in the bar if you are looking for us, I will be the guy with the wine and Marvin will have the beer!! Hope to see everyone at the airshow!!

    I live in the Memphis area and can be there. it will be great to see some people from the past. I was in Heavy 5 at the end. After 40+ years of aviation maintenance I still appreciate the innovation of the RA-5C, and the People keeping them in the air,

    Alvis Didway (who just "shipped over" here on Reccenet) is working on finding a motel with good rates near Millington. Please let him know if you're planning on attending and need a room (I'm guessing the more people the better the rate).

    If anyone is definitely going you may want to purchase tickets to the show on the Airshow website (or call to see if same day ticket purchases may be an issue, website is listed in the event info).

    Motel/hotel reservations are BYOB. James Jones (the guy doing the renovation of 156608) says: "Contact Roy Remington at the Millingtonairport they get discounts at motels near airport." I believe the 901 number listed in the event info will get you to him.
