  Thanks for the welcome ! Just trying to get familiar with the site. Was in when the Cuban crisis took place. Saratoga CVA-60 was ordered out of the Med. at the time to sail for Cuba. I was a third class p.o. at the time working aviation electronics in my Squadron.

  Hey Terry.  Thanks for the welcome.  I was attached to RVAH-13 when the wing was at NAS Albany from 1970 -1971.  One Med cruise aboard USS America.

  Hi Terry:

  I was a flight student under retired Capt. Finn Wilster, RVAH-9, when I was learning to fly gliders in the late '80s.  Pretty much the total opposite end of the spectrum from a Viggie.  He had a huge impact on me, not only as an aviator,  but also as a person.  I just recently learned of his passing, and thought that this would be the perfect place to tell some "Finn stories ".

  I am researching the IOIC system associated with the RA-5C. I am specifically looking at the Mediterranean deployments of the SARATOGA/RVAH-9 and AMERICA/RVAH-5 in 1967 (Six-Day War) and the JF KENNEDY/RVAH-11 and INDEPENDENCE/RVAH-14 in 1973 (Yom Kippur War). I would like to talk to any intelligence officers or PH/PTs that made those deployments about the IOIC system. Sea stories welcomed!
