Thank you vy much Terry. I came via the overhead imaging world (both company and govt agency), tech oriented and never out in harm's way like you gents whom I admire. Been flying for 43 yrs tho, now civ geezer volunteer pilot for USCG here in New England.
Thanks, RVAH 6, 70-74. Kittyhawk, America, Forrestall quals. PH. Went by Albany a few weeks ago. Gate was closed. May try to check it out another time. Remember B-52 parked accross runway when first arrived in early 70. Also the strong smell of peanuts in the air. That was my first time ever to South Georgia.
Thank you, for some reason it is hard getting in touch with folks from my era in RVAH-11, however it would be nice if I could find some of them. I was on the Kittyhawk and the Independence.
THANKS TERRILL....SERVED FROM AUGUST 15 1962 TO SEPTEMBER 15, 1966....WAS ON STATION IN NAM FROM JULY 65 TO DECEMBER 65....ON BOARD THE USS INDEPENDENCE (CVA-62)....I'M FROM WESTMINSTER, MARYLAND
Mine was due to an email change...Us OLD FARTS ..if we don't clean out the cobwebs on a regular basis...it gets cloudy n the damn cobwebs get wet...Know what I mean??
Thanks Terrill: Was scanning through the other days & saw of picture of a buddy I was stationed with in Heavy 13 back in 1965 or 1966. Can't remember if he came aboard before the WestPac Cruise of 65 or after we got back in April of 66. Good to remember the good times when I was young. Ha Ha. Thanks again Terrill, hope to run into you again down the line.
