Good Morning Jim, I to was with RVAH-6 from Feb 73 until Nov 75 when they flew me back to the States and then back to Key West to get discharged. I was a plane Captain most of my time and I also flew in the back seat of the Vigi over Key West! I now live in Hiawassee Ga since I retired from Robins Air Force working on the C17s Civil Service in 2017. My wife (Sylvia) and I also do Campground Hosting in the Ga State Parks up here in the mountains!
Hi jim, you and I along with Joe Wilkes hung around together off and on. I should have stayed in but couldn't think of a reason to go out to sea again? lol. I made contact with tim noland and steve manchook(photography). I'm a caregiver right now, and have a few ebooks out there on amazon and kobo. I write under the name Michael Roberts. Most of the stories are very short novellas(less than 100 pages). The first one "hello my name is Andrew" and the sequel "the long, long goodbye" are about my 24 months caring for a wwII vet 24/7. the other books are fiction. well, guess this is enough to get the ball rolling. I always answer better to my emails at michblu@gmail.com. or friend me on facebook. take it easy hacker!
Well we were in heavy six at the same time. I got there in Feb 74 made the Med and 75 West Pac. Did my whole time in corrosion control. Made AMS 2 then got out. But went back in Feb 79 and stayed till 2001 and retired as an AMCS. Nice to see some of the people that we cruised with. IE'd with Beetle last night. Hope all is well with you.
