I was in VAH-1 in Jax before we moved to Sanford, FL. While in Jax i witnessed the landing of Lt. Commander Morris land our A3D with no right main wheel. I also wrote about that landing and posted it. Several years later I rec'd a comment from Commander Morris's son who said he remembered that event. He was 12 years old when the Navy called and reported that his dad had an incident. His mom wasn't home and she went ballistic when her son told her that dad had a problem. She called everyone she knew seeking info. The son told me that his dad had eventually made Captain and retired from the Navy and went home and got a working job before passing.
