Hello Brian. Yep I was in Heavy 6. I was also in Heavy 7 when the Viggies decommissioned in Key West. I worked on the Infrared and Digital Data systems. They were a beautiful airplane.
Hello Brian. I got to RVAH-6 about July or August 1969 and was there until late Dec1972 when I left the USS America in the P.I. to fly back to NAS Albany for discharge. I made the 1970-71 USS Kitty Hawk cruise and most of the 1972-73 USS America cruise. On the Hawk I worked in the AQ shop and on the America I worked in AIMD.
0Long time since the last time I saw you. If I remember it right, it was at Hudson Valley Community College in the fall of 1970. After you graduated, where did you go? I moved to Virginia, worked for a mechanical contractor for 14 months, spent 14 years with consulting engineers, 18 years with the electric utility in Virginia, had my own business for 5 years and the last five years I have worked for the federal government as an energy manager for the Army.
