  Hello Bud,  I was in the electronics shop: worked on the AYA1 signal data system.  Made the Med cruise on the America in 1967 (had some great times), and first half of the West Pac on the Constellation in 1968.

  Hello Bud...I was a Savage Son from 1966 through 1967 and was then assigned to the Joint Chiefs of Staff in D.C.  Must say the Heavy 5 duty was more enjoyable that the Pentagon group.

  Hello Bud,

  Served with RVAH-5 from 1971 to 1975. Worked in airframes shop and corrosion control. I made AMS2 and was put in charge of corrosion control shop until I was discharged. Good to hear from you, hope all is well with you!

  Paul bernhard was an AE-2,enlisting in 65 then departing in 69. Made a Med cruise on the USS America and a West Pac aboard the Constellation losing a Vigi in November piloted by LtCdr Stamm, BN being Ltjg Thum. I still recall the emotion of shock throughout my squadron of the complete loss, just gone. Later I discovered Stamm ejected, believe he died in captivity and Thum perished during ejection.
