Thomas William Ball Jr. April 4, 1949 - September 4, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas William Ball Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Thomas, affectionately known as "Tom," was born on April 4, 1949, in Bennettsville, South Carolina, to Nancy Breeden Ball and Thomas William Ball Sr.

Tom was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Catherine Ball. Together, they shared a lifetime of memories and love that will forever be cherished. Tom's legacy lives on through his sons: Travis Ball, McAllister Ball, and McRae Ball, and his daughters-in-law, Katy Ball and Niki Ball. He was also blessed with the joy of a grandson, Thomas Ball.

Tom is survived by his dear sister, Faith Kriesel, and her husband, Tom Kriesel, who held a special place in his heart. Their bond was a testament to the enduring strength of family ties.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, Tom went on to serve his country with honor and distinction in the United States Navy as an aviator for ten years. His courage and dedication in the service of his nation were emblematic of his character.

After his military service, Tom embarked on a successful sales career in the jewelry industry for nearly thirty years, before ultimately retiring from sales in 2009. In his later years, he returned to work as a dedicated employee at The Home Depot, where he brought his work ethic and passion for helping others to the forefront. He also channeled his boundless compassion into his work with Johns Creek High School's special needs program, where he developed a significant and lasting relationship with a young man named Kyle.

In his personal time, Tom was an avid sports fan, who found immense joy in the sport of golf. He was known for his infectious laughter, his ability to light up any room, and his status as the life of the party. His warm and welcoming personality drew people to him, and his friendships were treasured by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

In the midst of our grief, let us remember Tom as a man who lived life to the fullest, embracing each moment with enthusiasm and love. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts, a reminder of the importance of family, friendship, and living life with a smile.

Thomas William Ball Jr. will be deeply missed, but his spirit and love will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
