Robert Sour, age 72 of Bellevue, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky. Robert was born July 1, 1946 in Amsden, OH the son of the late Leland and Helen (Pangborn) Sour.
Robert served in the United States Navy for ten years during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the former American Legion Post 46. He worked in his younger years at Mol-Ayr Farms, and later at Midway, John Deere, and Truck Center. He often helped Baker-Bonningson auctioneers. He was an animal lover and enjoyed antiques, especially glassware and lamps.
Robert is survived by his wife, Sharon (Hensinger) Carroll – Sour, of Bellevue, whom he married November 1, 1986 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bellevue; sons: William C. (Mandy) Carroll, Jr., of Bellevue, Kenneth E. Carroll, of Bellevue, James A. Carroll, of Bellevue, and Keith L. Carroll, of Bellevue; daughters: Jodi A. Renwand of Republic, and Pamela Seemer of Missouri; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Barbara) Sour, of Columbus; sister, Beverly (Dick) Whitaker, of Columbus; and his beloved cat, Buddy.
In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his daughter, Jodi B. Sour.
Friends will be received Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 1-4pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, OH 44811, where a funeral service will be held Monday, March 18, 2019 at 1:00pm.
Memorial donations may be made in Robert’s honor to the Sandusky County Humane Society or the Bellevue Fallen Soldiers Fund.
