John H. "Jack" Reynolds, age 85, of South Knoxville, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016. He served in the United States Navy for 20 years and is a Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch #194 and a member of First Baptist Church of Knoxville. Preceded in death by his parents, Audley and Mary K. Reynolds; brother, Francis Reynolds; sister, Harriett Boardman. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sarah Hutson Reynolds; daughter, Mary Catherine (Kitty) Johnson and husband, David Manning Johnson; sisters, Patricia Davis and Elizabeth Kostun of Binghamton, NY. Jack will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, and valued friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at First Baptist Church. The celebration of life will follow at 2:00pm in the chapel. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Highway, for a 1:30pm graveside service with full military honors by the United States Navy.
